THE OTHER TOBACCO? A Boston Globe editorial Boston compares cell phones to cigarettes, arguing that cell phone users are the new social pariahs. The author’s analysis is nearly nonexistent, but the point itself is intriguing. While I carry a cellphone with me most of the time, I have the good sense to turn it off while attending meetings, going to the movies, and other such events. Clearly, this habit needs to catch on.
