Terence Jeffrey explains why Bush is unbeatable in 2004. He makes some good points, including several I made here yesterday, plus notes that this Bush will get a lot more help from the national media than his dad. Still, the election is nearly 18 months away. So many things can happen between now and then that overconfidence would be absurd. Indeed, as my previous post noted, the Bush team sure isn’t taking victory for granted.

Help from the media…what are you smoking…MB would like a puff or two on that stuff!

  2. James Joyner says:

Well, Fox News Network is now easily the most popular media outlet. Washington Times, a bevvy of conservative talk radio types, etc. It’s a lot more level playing field than in 1992, when it was basically Rush Limbaugh vs. the world.

Yes, that’s progress, but will it be enough come the summer/fall of 2004? One can only hope!
