Yahoo!Mail Spam Filter Sucks

Since my office blocks access to POP e-mail and Dell hasn’t fixed the motherboard on my home computer yet (it’s supposed to happen today) the only way I can check my OTB accounts is via Yahoo. They have simply the worst spam filter I’ve ever seen. Every other source that I use to check e-mail can filter out the dozens of “Mail Delivery System” and “MAILER-DAEMON@” messages I get but not Yahoo. I’ve gotten at least 300 the last couple of days.

What’s so hard about fixing this?

No, Hotmail has (had?) the worst spam filter of all time.

  2. Frank says:

You can set up your own filters in Yahoo to place the mail system delivery or daemon messages to go to the trash. Got to mail options and select “filters” Set up your filter to include the key phrases you wish to filter and select trash as the folder to send these items to.

Thanks, Frank. I’ve just done it–we’ll see how it works.

Because aol filtered many of my emails from Yahoo I dropped them like a hot potato. I then gave up my telephone service because friendless, the only calls I got were annoying telemarkers AFTER 9 p.m./ hang-ups and wrong number, In so doing this ‘smart’ move I went with Comcast, probably the dumbest technicans on earth. Three days in a row the schmucks sent out different tech’s who knew less about computers than I. Yup, they flatly admitted “I do NOT know ANY thing about computers.” My neighbor girl got me to where I needed to be. I’m going to kick Comcast to the curb as soon as my ‘special’ runs out “Six months for $19.99>” The catch? Have to get the $40.00 a month cable from them or else the computer service is $60.00 a month. Cable here in S.C. truly sucks; all we watch is Court Tv, which comes with the “10.30 a month charge. Sometimes I wish i had a life. I’ve had MSN and People PC and they all suck, ie I still get/got Spam which I reported but continuely got (no porno thank God) pop-ups, sliding windows that continueously have to be adjusted and kicked off.

I heard Yahoo was the IPS that others do not like to send because of the Spam. It’s a losing battle. What is your overall opinions re IPS’S?
