Sarah Palin: No More Interviews With Katie Couric

Sarah Palin won’t be talking to Katie Couric anytime soon:

Sarah Palin isn’t interested in going to the mat again with Katie Couric.

The former vice presidential candidate said she’s willing to talk to reporters, just not the CBS News anchor, heading into the 2012 election cycle.

“As for doing an interview, though, with a reporter who already has such a bias against whatever it is that I would come out and say? Why waste my time?”

(…)

But that means Palin won’t be sitting down with Couric, she said, or any other “biased” reporter.

“So a journalist, a reporter who is so biased and will, no doubt, spin and gin up whatever it is that I have to say to create controversy, I swear to you, I will not my waste my time with her. Or him.”

Yea, sure Sarah this was all Katie Couric’s fault:

And, clearly, this was all part of the vast left wing conspiracy too:

Palin is afraid to sit down with anyone who is not a Fox News shill. This is news? Considering that she can’t even deal with a lightweight like Couric, I guess this is really her only course of action.

And that my friends is one….just one….reason why “some” former and/or mightta been VPs…….ultimately…..end up with reducing speaking fees and relative benignminship…..I made that word up at the end…..***shrug***

Truly pathetic. We try to get hold of the smartest guy in the room, and look what we get. Bring on Palin. And yes, Katie Couric can sit this whole thing out. After all, we let her play kingmaker two years ago, and look where that got us. What was Alaska’s economic situation from 2007 to 2009? It would be nice if the nation’s economy looked like that right about now.
We were supposed to have someone in the White House who knew what he was doing. We didn’t even get that. Update the fail-blog with our lessons learned, and move on. Bring on Caribou Barbie, better than the guy we’ve got now.

Yes, because the economic situation in those two years was all the fault of the president…the economic downturn of the previous years played absolutely no part in it…oh, and I’m sure the nation’s economy might look similar to Alaska’s if there were vast oil deposits in the lower 48…than a lot more people could just sit back and collect government-issued checks like they do up north, as if Palin was the reason for any economic success in Alaska…but if you are really lucky, you will get a match between Caribou Barbie and the president…alas, Mr. Fifty-Seven States will easily beat the lass who can’t tell us what newspapers she reads…

    >  What was Alaska’s economic situation from 2007 to 2009?
What it has pretty much alway been. Dependent on federal $$$

  6. Herb says:

What a wimp. Can’t handle Couric…and she can handle the White House? Don’t think so.

  7. anjin-san says:

Watching Palin on Hannity, she just referred to her experience as a CEO. WTF?? Is she talking about Todd’s fishing business? Made about 20K a year…

lol more xp then Obama or any of the 20 30 40 50 60 and  70 something year old collage kids he has working for him……

  9. anjin-san says:

    > lol more xp then Obama
Actually, Obama is a self-made millionaire. (which probably is part of the reason so many tea party types hate him)
And I don’t recall him ever having claimed to be the CEO of anything.

  10. john personna says:

Just because, you know,k, presidents only ever have to talk to friendly countries.

  11. john personna says:

(Maybe that works for Sarah.  Talk to friendly countries, bomb  the rest.)

  12. Pug says:

Why doesn’t the “lamestream media” just do us all a favor and ignore her?

  13. narciso says:

I’m with Morgan, does Obama really evince any understanding of what he is doing, he didn’t back then, but he rarely received any scrutiny except for that one Gibson interview in  the spring, of that year, which was Journolisted for the impudence of this. By contrast she was subject to six hours of interviewers, by a reporter who either had ignorant researchersor didn’t read what was provided. Then they hacked those pieces together with a weed wacker. It’s really hard to argue that on policy she would go astray, but from an earlier piece, you rely on that as a touchstone.

  14. JKB says:

Look, it was just a little shot at the mean girl.  Basically, Palin made a statement, now ABC is looking at Couric to see if she’s still an asset since the top draw in political television has cut her from the interviewee list.  More importantly, everyone else is adjusting themselves so they might have a shot at getting some viewership by interviewing Palin.

It is simple.  Obama gives a Presidential address and broadcasters lose money.  Palin has a little reality show and TLC has a good night.

  15. G.A.Phillips says:

***Actually, Obama is a self-made millionaire. (which probably is part of the reason so many tea party types hate him)***
lol. doing what? And we don’t hate rich white people!!!! 🙂

LMAO. Nice one Morgan Freeberg. Look at the bring side: At least the community organizer masquerading as President can use a TELEPROMPTER in addition to a Blackberry<LOL>.

  17. schooner says:

    Yeah one interview.

Let’s ignore the multiple appearances on Meet the Press, Bill O’Reilly, Chris Wallace, Face the Nation, 60 Minutes, Brian Williams etc..

Oh and let’s ignore the 12 years teaching Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago.

It’s like you can’t even be bothered moving beyond whatever crap you hear from Limbaugh et al.

  18. mantis says:

And we don’t hate rich white people!
We know.  Only those uppity negroes.

  19. mantis says:

Obama gives a Presidential address and broadcasters lose money.
Because they don’t advertise during an address.  Presidential addresses are not delivered to generate ad revenue, in case you didn’t know.
Palin has a little reality show and TLC has a good night.
    Well, one good night, anyway:

After setting a TLC ratings record last week, Sarah Palin’s reality show plummeted for its second episode.
Sarah Palin’s Alaska fell 40% on Sunday night to 3 million viewers.
Not many were in the key adult demo either. Only 885,000 viewers were ages 18-49, dropping 44% from last week.
In fact, the median age of the show is 57 — that’s 15 years older than TLC’s average.

  20. wr says:

A lot of people tuned in to see the freak show, realized how boring it was, and didn’t come back a second time. It will be interesting to see if SP’s hardcore base is willing to sit through the rest of the episodes…
