  2. I object to this video’s knocking of cynicism. Media pundits would far more effective if they were actually cynical. True cynics would be far better at pointing out the gaping chasm between reality and the way various parties are attempting to portray reality in the media.

    But media pundits by and large aren’t cynical at all. Particularly when it comes to the people on “their side”, they’re some of the most gullible romantics ever, attributing everything done to the most honoable of motives and taking every utterance at face value.

    They are, however, great at making snarky comments about their opponents, but that’s not cyncism. That’s just being an ass.
