Sarah Palin Claims She’s Through Whining About The Media
File this one under I’ll believe it when I see it:
“Women are held to a different standard in all areas, but my point is going to be: So what?
Let’s just work harder, produce more, produce better, and get over it.
You know, I’m through, I’m through whining about a liberal press that holds — especially conservative women — to a different standard, because it doesn’t do me any good to whine about it.
I’ve made my point.”
Let’s see how long this one lasts.
Blah, blah and blah, she whined.
Then what’s left for her to run on?
At this point isn’t she part of the media?
About as long as Dana Milbank’s pledge to ignore Palin for a month.
Let’s just work harder, produce more, produce better, and get over it.
who talks like this in the real world?
So, when is her laryngectomy scheduled?
After hearing this remark, I was finally able to articulate what I’ve long found so striking about Palin: she often sounds like a parody that doesn’t know it’s a parody. We’ve all known Palin whines a lot. But that’s not something you’d expect her to admit aloud in a televised interview. It’s like a Dilbert strip where the Boss explains to his employees all his diabolical plans to make their lives miserable, while Dilbert and Wally explain to the Boss what a doofus he is and why. What make it satire is that people in the real world don’t normally say stuff like that aloud; they just think it, or perhaps insinuate it. Similarly, you could imagine Palin as a cartoon character saying, “Well I’m not going to whine anymore about the fact that the librul media is out to get me.” It’s like, wouldn’t she be just a tad more subtle about expressing that idea? Apparently not.
Isn’t she still whining in that clip?
> Let’s just work harder
Like when she bailed as Gov? That kind of work harder?
