It Was Impossible To Fake The Moon Landing In 1969

So says photographer and filmmaker S.G. Collins, who explains why the video and photographic technology available in 1969 simply wasn’t sophisticated enough to pull off what people who deny the authenticity of Apollo 11’s trip to the Moon claim happened:

My grandfather died in ’68 at the ripe old age of 92 (came here from Slovenia in 1900, grams came in 1902) He was firmly in the camp of “It’s all fake!” If he had lived to see the moon landing he never would have believed it.

    He’s wrong.
The technology recovered from the Roswell crash in 1947 is still more sophisticated than anything created by ant company today.

The technology wasn’t available…Impossible to fake

Yes, that’s what they want you to think.

  5. John H says:

Yep, it’s the lack of the necessary video/photographic technology that makes the phony landing theory so utterly implausible. Glad that’s finally cleared up.

  6. Jeremy says:

Oh, no, we went to the Moon. And found the colony ship that originally brought humans to Earth. And 1969 film technology was well up to the task of not including two hours of that.

The evidence of data will convince the faked Moon Landing idiots just as well as Obama’s birth certificate convinced the birfers.

    Unfortunately, you can’t fix paranoid.

Capricorn One was a pretty decent film about a faked lunar landing, granted the film is about faking a Mars landing, but still…a good Peter Hyams thriller about NASA trying to pull the wool over the publics eyes.

  11. Dave says:

I knew Doug was a CIA plant to throw us all off the trial of NASA forgery. And everyone knows that Kubrick directed it, that man could do anything with a camera.

The Rand Corporation, in conjunction with the saucer people under the supervision of the reverse vampires are forcing our parents to go to bed early in a fiendish plot to eliminate the meal of dinner. We’re through the looking glass, here, people.

  13. JKB says:

Of course, it was fake, otherwise, why would they have kept space travel under government control for all these years. Why not open up the heavens to exploration and exploitation. Those that would go would be the unruly, individualists who want to be free of elite control so it would be a win for the statist and their desire for a collective heaven on earth.

Plus, if it wasn’t fake, how do you explain that the Baby Boomer generation failed so miserably to exploit the new frontier handed them just as they came of age?

And besides, everyone knows, today, that America is a bad country that exploited Africans and indigenous people to support defective Europeans and raped the natural world. Plus, we got guns.

    thanks, Doug!

    This was nice.

This delightfully lampoons the whole ‘fake moon landing’ idea:

“Fake the footage of the fake moon landing on the moon? What if people found out?
