Paranoid Ad Of The Day: Ending DADT Will Lead To A Draft

The people at Citizens United are out with what has to be the most bizarre issues ad I’ve seen in awhile:

  1. Zelsdorf Ragshaft III says:

Well, what if the consequences of this act does result in far fewer young men and women volunteer for military duty? Only time will tell. What is funny for me the fact sexual preferrence has become a civil right. It because legal to sodomize by finding some right to privacy in the Constitution. Funny, I cannot find the passage which guarantees a personal right to privacy but if sodomy is legal in private why not incest or heroin use? None the less, because you have the right to privacy, it is OK to publicly declare your sexual preference and demand equal treatment under the law, which was available to you anyway, just not preferental treatment. Pediphiles don’t get to be teachers, in most cases. Yet men who find other men attactive get to shower with them naked in the military. Don’t think I would have joined when I did had that been the case. I did serve with people who were obviously gay. They did not shout it from the roof of the barracks.

    Zelsdorf,

    >Yet men who find other men attactive get to shower with them naked in the military. Don’t think I would have joined when I did had that been the case.

Psst, Zelsdorf, “those” guys, are there now, and probably have been there for some time. Just not openly. This is not something new, or recent. Obviously, since DADT is 17 years old. “They” existed in the military even before DADT.

    >I did serve with people who were obviously gay. They did not shout it from the roof of the barracks.

And for some reason you seem to think they’ll be swinging from the chandeliers now?

  3. Joe Schmoe says:

Here’s a fun exercise. I’m changing all of Zelsdorf’s references to homosexuality to something a bit different, but very related. Notice how much the hate shines through now?

What is funny for me the fact color has become a civil right. It because legal to be black by finding some right to privacy in the Constitution. Funny, I cannot find the passage which guarantees a personal right to privacy but if being black is legal in private why not incest or heroin use? None the less, because you have the right to privacy, it is OK to publicly declare your race and demand equal treatment under the law, which was available to you anyway, just not preferental treatment. I did serve with people who obviously had black ancestors. They did not shout it from the roof of the barracks.”

  4. An Interested Party says:

Poor poor Zelsdorf…so terrified of the gay men…I wonder why…

  5. Linda says:

    Hey AIP,

For once we agree! Will wonders never cease?
