Rob Ford Caught Smoking Crack Again

North America’s craziest Mayor is at it again:

TORONTO — Citing “a problem with alcohol,” Mayor Rob Ford of Toronto said late Wednesday night that he was temporarily stepping aside from his duties as mayor and his re-election campaign.

The statement from the embattled mayor followed the online appearance of a still photograph from a video that The Globe and Mail said appears to show Mr. Ford smoking crack cocaine last weekend. The Toronto newspaper said that two of its reporters were shown the video by “a self-professed drug dealer” who was trying to sell it.

The appearance of a second video apparently showing the mayor smoking crack may undermine his hopes of re-election in October.

Gee do ya think?

I dunno, I still would rather have Rob Ford than Bob Filner.

    You know, ”
I’d rather have Rob Ford than ______________ ”
would make a great ‘caption’ type of contest.

  3. James Pearce says:

The guy’s got a problem. He should have resigned and disappeared from public life. The public doesn’t understand his problem, doesn’t care about it, and will only laugh at him.

  4. Tillman says:

I wonder what about being drunk makes him open to crack.

Is he only addicted to crack while drunk?

  5. michael reynolds says:

Wow, this is a shock. I didn’t realize he had a substance problem.

  6. bill says:

and he still has his job, he must be a crack administrator?!

  7. Rob in CT says:

I’m starting to wonder if this isn’t a bit like watching reality TV to laugh at the stooopid people. It’s a little icky.

  8. Pylon says:

Bill, he has his job because there are no means to relieve him of his elected position. However, he has been stripped of most of his powers by city counsel.
