Sarah Palin Says U.S. Shouldn’t Forget Haiti, While GOP Forgets Haiti

Speaking during her trip with Franklin Graham to Port-au-Prince, Sarah Palin said the U.S. shouldn’t forget about the humanitarian crisis in Haiti:

In her only public remarks of her brief humanitarian trip to Haiti, Sarah Palin avoided “getting political” and instead focused on what she saw as the need for U.S. to continue offering aid to the country.

“I do urge Americans not to forget Haiti,” Palin said at a Sunday press conference held in a warehouse that belongs to Samaritan’s Purse, the humanitarian aid group that hosted her, the Associated Press reported. “Get out of your comfort zone and volunteer to help.”

Perhaps when she returns to the United States, she should speak to Senator Tom Coburn (R., Okla), who has been blocking about a measly five million dollars in Haiti aid since September:

    I wonder if she ran into Sean Penn. Flying into Haiti for a photo op? The most “celebrity” thing you can do besides starring in your own reality show.
