NON-IOWA TV?
Apparently, if Drudge’s report is correct (and that’s never a certainty), there were programs on television last night that did not revolve around the Iowa Caucuses:
FOX ‘AMERICAN IDOL’ BACK BIG, 24 SHARE, TOPS NIGHT… LIFTS FOX TO FIRST IN PRIME… FOX ‘BIG FAT OBNOXIOUS FIANCE’ SCORES WITH 20 SHARE, 2ND MOST-WATCHED SHOW MONDAY… DEVELOPING…
Who knew?
And, more importantly, why? Everyone I know was either watching an all-news channel, blogging the election results, reading blogs about the election results, or working on their entries for the Dick Gephardt, We Hardly Knew Ye edition OTB Caption ContestTM, or some combination of those things.
Busted. Is there really a show called “Big, Fat Obnoxious Fiance?”
I watched American Idol and the first few minutes of Big, Fat Obnoxious Fiance before heading to MTV to watch the finale of the Real World-Road Rules Challenge. I knew that I would get the recap of the caucus votes later or this morning.
I just posted a bunch of highly entertainin’ crap on my blog not havin’ to do with the caucuses — actually not givin’ a whit about the caucuses ‘ceptin’ to drop by OTB about 11:00 pm CST to check for the final tally.
Strange–I was JUST THERE and didn’t see anything entertaining. Hmmm.

I think the keywords are “everyone I know”, James.
Kate: Heh.
(I was actually kiddig, btw)
I PVR’d “Big Fat Fiance” and watched it around midnight. I’m lowbrow like that. But I did blog the Iowa caucus this morning, so maybe that makes up for it. Maybe.
(BTW – stupid show, but that guy they have playing the fiance is freakin’ hilarious. He does Jon Belushi very well.)
I watched idol and BF Wedding, but did so with my laptop on and following the politics online. To be honest, after watching the folks competing to be an American idol and the Democrats competing for the nomination, I still am not sure which group comes from the better gene pool.
But I think I would probably have a much better time hanging out with the American Idol wannabees. Some of them have a sense of humor.
