Mexican Billionaire Still the Richest in the World

Via the BBC:  Carlos Slim tops Forbes rich list for fourth year.

I note this only because I am continually struck by the fact that if one was going to make up a name of the world’s richest man for a B-movie, one might come up with the name “Carlos Slim.”

    Carlos Slim is an Arab Mexican, of Lebanese decent to be exact. The family name Slim is approximate Spanish transliteration of common Arabic name Salim.
