I was on a short vacation on Connecticut’s Long Island Sound shore visiting the wife’s family and friends from very early Saturday and just arrived home about an hour ago. The Verizon card that I was relying on for ‘Net access, which generally works superbly, only intermittently got a signal, partly explaining the dearth of posting while I was away. Indeed, most of the posting I did do was on someone’s unsecured wireless network.

Given the number of co-authors on the site now, I decided that posting a note that I would be away would not only have been somewhat presumptous but incorrectly signal that there wouldn’t be much content until I returned. Judging from my e-mail, however, at least a few of you were wondering what was going on. Sorry about that.

I’ve got an important meeting tomorrow that will preclude my usual early-morning posting and keep me away several hours. After that, I expect to resume something approaching a normal posting schedule.
