Benefits of Tagging Vice Categories

  1. I have been experimenting with Technorati tags for a while and have found that when I tag posts with very specific tags (more specific than my categories) that it can drive Technorati-generated traffic my direction.

    That does seem to be the advantage. There are plug-ins that allow doing that without the creation of dozens of micro-categories, but it’s always struck me as redundant. It looks to be complementary, though.

    When I saw the headline, I first thought you meant tagging ‘Vice’ categories, like narcotics, prostitution, etc.

    “Hey,” I says to myself, “I gotta get into this blogging thing…”
