Via the Daily Caller: Stephen Colbert to testify before House immigration subcommittee Friday
Comedy Central host Stephen Colbert is slated to testify at a congressional hearing Friday on immigration titled “Protecting America’s Harvest.”
One Republican source said Colbert will be testifying “in character,” the Bill O’Reilly-like muse Colbert uses for his show.
While I find Colbert amusing and will confess that Congressional hearings are frequently a joke, this strikes me as ridiculous.

Geez, is the guy going to end up in-character as President or something?
No, this is good. Because I still had some slight shred of respect for Congress. It’s a relief to lower that respect number all the way to zero.
I love Colbert. But what is he doing hanging out with a troupe of baboons?
Franken set the precedent.
