Congress Demands Anthrax Probe Answers

Congress wants some answers on the search for the perpetrators of the September 2001 anthrax attacks: “Thirty-three members of Congress have written Attorney General Alberto Gonzales demanding that the FBI update lawmakers on the investigation into the anthrax attacks five years ago that paralyzed the nation with bio-terror fears.”

It is indeed remarkable that we apparently still have not solved this case. We figured out who did the 1993 WTC bombing, the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, the 1996 Olympic bombing, the 9/11 attacks, and various other terrorist attacks within days, if not hours. As Jim Henley notes, the delivery of anthrax to Congressional offices a mere week after the 9/11 attacks sent the nation into a siege mentality. One would think the resources of the FBI would have been able to find the perps by now.

Perhaps this case is more akin to that of the Unabomber rather than a major terrorist operation, where a smart nut acting alone can simply keep the information to himself.

weaponized antrax more likely came from one of the christian embassy generals that were in the news last week…access to ft deitrich, self proclaimed god over country, and all the targets were on the left.

  2. The DOJ was to busy harassing Stephen Hatfill to do a real investigation.
