Desperate Housewives’ Marc Cherry a Log Cabin Republican (Video, Photos)

Michael Demmons has photos and video from the first day of the Log Cabin Republican convention. He has pictures of himself with California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, First Lady Maria Shriver, and Marc Cherry, the creator of Desperate Housewives.

Michael notes that,

For me, the difference between attending a Log Cabin Republican event and a gay Democratic event is that, rather than shouting insults and sloganeering, LCR folks are absolutely committed to equality. Not one disparaging remark was made about Democrats tonight. No insults, no bickering – just ideas, pure and simple.

Somehow, I fear that model won’t catch on.

  1. Won’t catch on as in it won’t cross party lines to similar organizations on the other side of the aisle, won’t catch on as in it won’t go to other GOP groups or the general idea that political discourse between those who in general agree should be about ideas vs slogans?

OMG please don’t ever post a story like that again!!!

What the hell was Arnold doing there?!? He is such a man’s man, I wonder if he was getting hit on all night.

There are lots of Republicans that won’t criticise Democrats- just as there are lots of hares that don’t mind rabbits and camels that act like Dromedarys, and worms that wiggle like nite-crawlers. A liberal is a liberal regardless of the union label.
