ECB Cuts Rates

Via the BBC:  ECB cuts interest rates to 1.25% (down from 1.5%, where it has been since being raised in July).

    The rate cut will have an effect somewhere in the range of zero to nothing. Monetary policy is simply not capable of addressing the EMU’s problems.
