Howie Dean, We Hardly Knew Ye
Steven Taylor and Robert Prather have some interesting speculation on what Dean’s dropping out of the race means.
I was listening to the Diane Rehm Show on the way into DC this morning and several expert commentators seemed to think that he still has the ability to salvage his reputation by getting behind the eventual nominee and one of them–Norm Ornstein?–twice said that Dean could personally raise $20 million for the Democrats. I tend to agree with Steven that Dean’s support was for Dean and thus non-transferable.
