Henry Farrell provides his reading list for his fall PhD-level course on institutions and politics at George Washington University. A quick perusal reminds me of two things:

1. The umpteen students who would email me ahead of graduate level courses at Troy some years back asking “What book” we would be using, only to discover there would be multiple books and several dozen articles.

2. Admiral James Stavridis‘ recent admonition to the students at National Defense University that “it’s only a lot of reading if you do it.”
