Parental POTUS

In regards to a report that President Trump personally was involved in drafting a misleading statement about Don Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyers and a number of other, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders stated:

“The president weighed in just as any father would based on the limited information that he had.”

Taking that sentence at face value it is an excellent reason why family members ought not be in involved in these things (and definitely ought not make up a governing inner circle, as it skews the judgment of the parent in question).

    Her comment was stupid, but I suppose it was all they could think of to say. Do they realize what they just admitted?

    And of course the current set of lies (just presuming at this point) reveal the previous batch of lies for what they were. Rinse (Reince?) and repeat.

    Trump is … amazing.
    He can ‘occupy’ a news cycle like no other.

    @CSK: On the other hand, if this administration stops saying stupid things, when will it ever tell us anything?

    As a parent I gotta say, “Ummm no, no I wouldn’t. In fact I’d say ‘You made your bed, now you gotta sleep in it.’ ” but then I raised 2 sons to capable adulthood not a couple of WATBs.

    Parental POTUS my ass.

    Trump has a young son he spends zero time with. Baron was in a different state for several months and Donald makes a point of never being home on the weekends. He spends more time with his ass-kissing, can-make-him-money adult offspring in business meetings then with the impressionable child in his free time. He doesn’t get to pull the Daddy card.

    @KM:

    Barron’s probably better off outside his father’s sphere of influence. Trump didn’t want Melania to have the kid for fear it would ruin her figure.
