Brad Stone has a very interesting take on an Alan Moore cult comic, “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen,” of which I was unaware and what he thinks a horrendous movie adaptation of same. Because each of the characters in the comic are taken from classic novels in the public domain, but whose film rights are in some cases controlled by movie houses, an interesting discussion of the implications of recent changes in copyright law ensues.
