If you are having a bad week/month/year, look on the bright side: At least your name isn’t Mike Lindell.
No doubt “standing his ground.”
@OzarkHillbilly: People were asking “where’s the My Pillow Guy?” yesterday as Trump was dozing off in court. A crappy shredded foam pillow would have made Spanky far more comfortable.
The bad news for the week: Star Trek Lower Decks will end after its fifth season.
Bad news for Biden: US review finds August 2021 suicide bombing at Kabul airport was unpreventable
On yesterday’s discussion about the difference between one million and one billion, consider this example I’ve posted before:
If you were paid $5,000 every day, it would take you 200,000 days to get to $1 billion. That’s about 545 years. Whereas it would take you 200 days to reach one million, that’s under seven months.
7 months < 545 years.
Sickeningly similar to the killings of the WCK aid workers. We’re far beyond the point where these incidents can be chalked up to simple error or miscommunication.
Palestinian paramedics said Israel gave them safe passage to save a 6-year-old girl in Gaza. They were all killed.
The IDF, of course, denied they had any personnel or tanks operating in that area. But when pressed by the U. S. State Department, the Israelis admitted there actually had been IDF units in the area, but they said they didn’t fire on any cars or ambulances.
The link above is a gift link. The story has extensive graphics and a detailed timeline.
“For the Colorado River headwaters, streamflow is forecast at 105% of median; the Yampa/White/ Little Snake is at 120% of median and the Gunnison River basin is at 104% of median. “From a water supply planning perspective, things are good, short term and locally” said Dave Kanzer, director of science and interstate matters with the Colorado River Water Conservation District. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation forecast the most probable spring runoff inflow for Lake Powell at 78% of average. Lake Powell is currently about 33% full.”
There won’t be any reassurances for the Lower Basin States this year, and if heat and dust on snow have an effect this year the runoff to Powell could be even less.
@Tony W:
Awww, Trump didn’t doze off. He was just being anti-woke.
If you bought Trump stock at its peak close, you have now lost 2/3 of your money. And if you bought the stock at yesterday’s close, you have already lost 14%.
I love watching MAGAs go broke. Can it drop to $10? When bad things happen to bad people. I want to see pick-up trucks being repossessed.
@Michael Reynolds: What, you mean a P/E ratio of 1500 wasn’t sustainable? Who could have known? LOL
Can it drop to $10? Sure, but why stop there? I want to see it crater like the bad joke it is.
@CSK: Oh my god, you win the internet for the day!
@Michael Reynolds:
The book value of the company is about $1.69 per share right now, given the amout of outstanding shares. When they release the additional shares, the book value of the company will be about $1.09 per share. But that’s only because of their cash on hand. They’re burning through that. They announced yesterday they’re going to start a streaming channel. They won’t have the cash available to do such a project.
This stock is going to zero. Like you, I am enjoying watching MAGA assholes lose their savings. But a reckoning is coming. Some of these idiots are just “buying the dip”, and will onlylose more.
Idiots. The lot of them.
As of right now, it’s at 22.61. It could break $22 to the downside before the close.
@MarkedMan:
Thank you. 😀 It seems to be catching on already.

I can’t take credit for these gems:
Don Snoreleone
The Nodfather
@EddieInCA:
With the caveat that absolutely none of this makes any objective sense, have you seen or have any idea of why they would release additional shares, especially in light of the fact that 1. Trump and the cronies can’t sell, and 2. the price is falling like a meteor. The only reason I can think is to dilute someone’s shares cause they pissed Trump off.
Or is it just as simple as they are all huffing the cheapest paint they can find.
@DrDaveT:
If he can keep himself out of jail until like July; SCOTUS will over turn his conviction when they rule that bribery is legal.
Judge Merchan just chastised Trump for “muttering” at a female juror.
@Beth:
This stock is the biggest pump and dump of all time. My guess is that the “board” will agree to ditch the 6 month lock up term, and allow insiders to sell. If you have 100,000,000 shares, even if you sell at $4, that’s $400,000,000. There are alot of insiders who want to get out before it goes to zero. So more shares equals more cash, literally. This company has no viable business. It’s all, literally, a project to put more money into the pockets of Donald Trump at the expense of his most loyal followers.
My big surprise is that the SEC allowed it. You can get there will be shareholder lawsuits starting any day now.
@EddieInCA:
It closed at $22.84.
A Boeing whistle blower is urging all 787s be grounded.
As far as I know, no 787 has ever been in an accident. But given this warning, if one suffers an accident soon, it would be a major disaster for Boeing. Even if the plane is not the cause, say if one were shot down accidentally, or blown up by terrorists, or was just waiting in a taxi way when another plane chooses that spot to land.
Whole fleets have been grounded before, but never before an accident. The Comet in the 50s, the MAX in 2020, the MAX 9 briefly a few weeks ago. So I can’t see regulators grounding the 787. Unless some are inspected and major flaws are found.
Meantime, next time I fly I may just choose an Airbus jet instead.
Whitey Herzog 92
St. Louis Cardinal Manager
RIP
@EddieInCA:
Ahhhhhhh, thank you. lol, I was foiled by the very simple math. Nothing like a scam so simple that event Trump can get it.
@Kathy:
Hey, Kathy, if you were invited to a lit festival in either Guadalajara or Monterrey, which would attract you more.
@Michael Reynolds:
Both have decent food and both are bound to be too hot these days, unless it’s in late Fall. You may find artisanal tequila in Guadalajara, and there are more touristy things there, like ceramics in Tlaquepaque, and Chapala lake (if it hasn’t dried up).
@Kathy:
Thanks, we’re leaning that way. It’d be November, so weather shouldn’t be too bad. Shorter flights from Vegas, too.
@Mister Bluster:
The White Rat was the Cardinals’ manager during the period when they were good and I was rooting for them, roughly 1980 – 1986. He also managed the Royals, and was a genius (along with Earl Weaver) at making the most of platoon players and pitchers. His teams were fabulously entertaining to watch, with an emphasis on stolen bases and great defense, but he also knew the value of walks and HR. RIP, Whitey.
