I’d be interested in why this caught your eye on your walk. I like it, I’m just fascinated to know what caught your attention. On the surface a simple shot, but I keep thinking about that.
I’m old enough that I occasionally tell the pump jockey* to fill with unleaded. They’re all young enough to quizzically ask, “you mean regular?”
*Remember, I’m in Oregon. We pay people to pump our gas.
@Flat Earth Luddite: I have driven past this station for 20 years. It closed some years ago and I have been noticing the leaning sign for some time. I finally had time, inclination, and my camera with me and so took some shots at this station and another derelict along the same portion of the highway.
@Steven L. Taylor:
I thought when I regained my health (as far as it did), I’d spend more time shooting stuff with a Canon. Sadly, hasn’t been the case. Curse this responsible adulting!
@Steven L. Taylor: Funny, I came across a derelict station in St James after a float trip and had to stop and take “a few” pics. A few… I think I was there for over an hour.

@Steven L. Taylor:
Thanks! I’m always interested in what makes it “click” in someone’s mind (both the artist and the viewer).
It’s funny what grabs us and won’t let go until we get the shot. Nice work!
@Flat Earth Luddite: Thanks!
I am constantly seeing shots, but if I followed up on all of them I would lose my job since it would occupy a lot of time 😉
Is the gas station ghost looking for its golf ball?

@Mister Bluster: This seems likely 😉
@Flat Earth Luddite: Here’s hoping the chance emerges!

And oh yeah, I like this one.
