Huckabee Speculation and Mixed Signals

According to Process Story, the signal seems to be that Huckabee isn’t running:  Huckabee releasing S.C. team

We’ve been told that former Ark. Gov. Mike Huckabee, a rumored candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, is giving his former S.C. supporters the nod to seek work on other presidential campaigns.

However, The Hill reports:  Huckabee camp shoots down rumor he won’t run in 2012.

  1. I saw that story yesterday and it was quickly knocked down by Huckabee’s team. There’s some speculation that this may be another example of the weirdness of the South Carolina political blogosphere, where spreading rumor and inneundo seems to be a pastime (remember the story last year about the political blogger who claimed he had a affair with then GOP candidate for Governor Nikki Haley?)
