On my “My Yahoo” page Reuters is running this story second in the categories of Top Stories and US National News. Could anything be more trite and unimportant than this?

    Maybe it is a form of comic relief. How much tragedy can you take in a single weekend. The first thing that came to my mind when I read it:

    More trite and unimportant? All of the “news” stories about the engagement of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes comes to mind.
