Trump is urging “the great Agents (sic) of the FBI” to revolt, presumably against his own appointee Christopher Wray, over the Mar-a-Lago search.

Pretty soon foreign govts won’t allow their troops to train in the US because it’s too dangerous.

    s//, I hope.

What the heck is up with Utah? I woke up to a front page story about how a BYU fan shouted the n word every time a Duke volleyball player served the ball. (She was the only black player in the court). The guy was not even ejected from the game but was allowed to continue.

Then I turn to the Salt Lake City Tribune for more details and see another headline about an armed thug he followed Evan McMullen and his wife home from a rally, harassed them with his pickup truck and when McMullen stopped, threatened him with a gun. The guy was only charged with a misdemeanor and the Tribune redacted his name to protect his privacy? Threatening someone with a gun is a misdemeanor? He doesn’t immediately get locked up? WTF!

That must’ve been some party last night.

  7. Jax says:

@MarkedMan: It gets worse….the guy’s a former military cop and state and federal police officer. Somebody who should definitely know better.

Name not redacted in this article.

According to this story, the man has been banned.

  9. MarkedMan says:

@Lost in Quebec: sure, great, they banned him. But why wasn’t he ejected from the game and the campus the first time he shouted it? Why was he allowed to continue to shout it during the whole game?

@Lost in Quebec: Well its my experience that a racist White Man will do something like this when they don’t fear getting punched in the face. And of course, why the hell would any black, brown, (or white) person capable of administering such sweet social discipline be at a BYU-Rider volleyball match? Quite a safe calculation by racist Ted. I assure you Ted would not be so bold in most places outside of Utah.

He read the room. Apparently he read the room correctly. Try that shit at a Lakers game and you’d quickly see the difference between Utah and California. Here the races would line up to take their turn smacking the guy down.

This is how a very good and decent human being – a real American leader – behaves.
To anyone who isn’t moved by this, I feel truly sorry for your broken soul.
I am so proud to support @Potus

Now, imagine trump in this situation. Or DeSantis. Or Abbot. Or Ted Cruz. I am sure there are DEMs out there who couldn’t handle that moment with the same caring and humility as Biden, but at this moment I can’t think of a single Republican.

    Sunday good points:
Just watched a wonderful Prom on TV; LSO conducted by Sir Simon Rattle, playing Mahler’s 2nd.
    While sipping an excellent Rioja.

    Sunday bad points:
Bloody sawfly eating the leaves on my Strawberry Hill climbing rose.
    Little sods!
    Time to recruit some ladybirds.

  17. Jax says:

@JohnSF: What are ladybirds? Same thing as ladybugs? I’ve been having a hard time finding them available this year over here.

    Ladybirds = ladybugs

    @CSK:
    Yes, ladybird = ladybugs.
Seem a bit short here this year also.
    And hoverflies bit below par.
But fortunately, quite a lot of wasps.
And they are massive caterpillar predators.
    Also, wrens.
Probably everything will, work itself out.
The main thing is, don’t use insecticide sprays on roses, ’cause they are fatal for bees.

Re wasps: yesterday, I was sitting looking at said rose; along comes wasp, plucks a hoverfly, chops off head, wings, etc.

Meanwhile, white spider vs web spider malarkey going on!
    Alien vs Predator!

Wonderful (if a bit icky) what you can see, if you pay attention.
