Steven L. Taylor is a Professor of Political Science and a College of Arts and Sciences Dean. His main areas of expertise include parties, elections, and the institutional design of democracies. His most recent book is the co-authored A Different Democracy: American Government in a 31-Country Perspective. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Texas and his BA from the University of California, Irvine. He has been blogging since 2003 (originally at the now defunct Poliblog).     @MarkedMan: Not too much. I was already looking to see what kind of reflection of the sunset I could get and the goose just cooperated.

    @Steven L. Taylor: Man, I gotta get me some better geese! My birds never cooperate.

    Although truth be told, one of my favorite pictures is one I took while zoomed very close in on a loon, but by the time I clicked all I got was a very odd swirling pyramid shaped splash as it dived under. Hard to describe but I like it and keep it on my wallpaper rotation queue.
