About that Fiorina Surge…

Via CNN:

Carly Fiorina‘s swell of support after her strong debate performance last month has collapsed, according to a new CNN/ORC poll

[…]

The survey found Mr. Trump and Mr. Carson leading the crowded field with support of 27 percent and 22 percent of registered Republicans. The poll, released on Tuesday, had a margin of error of 5 percentage points.

The numbers were bad news for Mrs. Fiorina, the former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard, who stood up to Mr. Trump during the last Republican debate and won accolades for her crisp, forceful performance. However, her bounce in the polls appears to have been ephemeral and her support has dropped from 15 percent in September to just 4 percent, the poll showed.

Emphasis mine.

    I saw those 15% to 4% numbers this morning on CNN. It seems that those fleeing Fiorina went to Carson, not surprising when you consider Trump’s remarks about Fiorina a few weeks ago.

    @al-Ameda:

    I was wondering to whence they’d fled. Thank you. But if they were offended by Trump’s comments, why didn’t they stick with Fiorina out of sympathy?

  3. Hal_10000 says:

    Fiorina hasn’t capitalized on her debate momentum. Everyone else has been keeping their face on TV and proposing policy. I haven’t heard a peep from her campaign.

    @Hal_10000: Hard to keep your face on TV when you message seems to be limited to “I am woman, hear me roar.”

    Republicans proposing policy???
    Cut rich peoples taxes, bomb Iran, keep women from making choices, cut rich peoples taxes…again.
    Policy. That cracks me up.

    @Hal_10000:

    Maybe , she doesn’t have any policy, other than “I would make a great VP pick for a Republican nominee looking to shore up support among the wimminfolk?”

    As per CNN / MSNBC / NYT / WashPost / Fox:

    Trump @ 25% = Inevitable March to Victory!!!!

    Sanders @ 25% = Why Is This Loser Even Pretending to Run???

  8. rachel says:

    @Gromitt Gunn: Isn’t Trump leading the Republican field at 25% while Sanders at that level is still well behind Clinton’s poll numbers?
