From The Des Moines Register:
Good luck growing anything *there* again.
Is Romney going to ask these aliens to self-deport?
Good thing you posted on this, and not the GOP operative in Virginia throwing away filled out voter registration forms.
Either that’s photoshopped or someone out there in the sticks has got waaaaaaay too much time on their hands.
In any event, speaking of Iowa, it’s not outside the realm of possibilities that that state will determine the presidency. That’s not exactly a comforting thought.
@Tsar Nicholas: If it weren’t “Iowa determining the presidency”, it would be “Ohio determining the presidency”, or “Virginia determining the presidency” that the chattering typewriter monkeys would be gibbering about. Remember, for the media, Teh Horse Race is the Most Important Thing and Must Be Maintained At All Costs.
@grumpy realist: Yes, but I was making a different point.
Ohio determining the election would not be such a bad thing. It’s a large state with a large population and multiple industries, ranging from industrial, to manufacturing, to materials, to shipbuilding, etc. Virginia is a state with vibrant private and public sector economic bases. Defense contractors. High technology. Banking. Well educated.
Iowa has exactly one major industry, agribusiness, which just so happens to be subsidized directly by taxpayers. It’s a small state with a small population. I wouldn’t mind seeing tails wagging dogs if I was on peyote, but for the Iowa tail prospectively to wag the presidency dog in my view is pretty f’n scary. That all said, I’m even more concerned about the prospect that Nevada will determine the outcome. In Nevada much of the local populace is crazy. Literally.
someone out there in the sticks has got waaaaaaay too much time on their hands.
It’s the middle of nowhere Iowa. What else are they gonna do with their spare time?
@Tsar Nicholas: A lot of tractors these days come with field mapping and GPS. It’s actually not all that difficult to plug an image into the system and then all you do is follow the path the computer tell you to.
This is the type of software I’m talking about.
@Tsar Nicholas: Agribusiness accounts for less than 25% of our economey here in Iowa. Manufacturing, Financial Services, and the Insurance industry have out paced Agriculture here for several years now.

What YOU are not able to comprehend is that I, CHAU VAN TRUONG, is running out of time from doing something that mattered, something that will make a difference, something that other weaker beings will surrendered because their legs would buckled under the heavy burden of an impossible dream.
