In any event, speaking of Iowa, it’s not outside the realm of possibilities that that state will determine the presidency. That’s not exactly a comforting thought.

Ohio determining the election would not be such a bad thing. It’s a large state with a large population and multiple industries, ranging from industrial, to manufacturing, to materials, to shipbuilding, etc. Virginia is a state with vibrant private and public sector economic bases. Defense contractors. High technology. Banking. Well educated.
Iowa has exactly one major industry, agribusiness, which just so happens to be subsidized directly by taxpayers. It’s a small state with a small population. I wouldn’t mind seeing tails wagging dogs if I was on peyote, but for the Iowa tail prospectively to wag the presidency dog in my view is pretty f’n scary. That all said, I’m even more concerned about the prospect that Nevada will determine the outcome. In Nevada much of the local populace is crazy. Literally.
@Tsar Nicholas: A lot of tractors these days come with field mapping and GPS. It’s actually not all that difficult to plug an image into the system and then all you do is follow the path the computer tell you to.
@Tsar Nicholas: Agribusiness accounts for less than 25% of our economey here in Iowa. Manufacturing, Financial Services, and the Insurance industry have out paced Agriculture here for several years now.
