Blog Reader Project Survey

Blog Reader Project Survey Logo The folks at BlogAds have banded with some others to create something called the “Blog Reader Project,” an attempt to get more reliable information on the readers of particular blogs as well as blog readers generally.

They say it takes 10-12 minutes but you can go faster. [Update: Once you’ve answered the personal and blog-related questions, the remainder is gravy, I’m reliably informed.]

What they want to know:

  • who you are
  • what web tools you use
  • what media sources you value
  • why you read blogs
  • and, if you’re still in the mood, cars, movies, travel, drinks

Why you should care: “You’ll help bloggers, readers, journalists, politicians and advertisers better understand individual blogs; a cookie in your browser will help bloggers pool data and see how individual blogs relate to other blogs. Your answers will end up in snazzy charts like these.”

Please take my blog reader survey!

Wow, none of my beers were on there anywhere.

  2. Jeff says:

No Jack Daniels under Whiskey category?

  3. James Joyner says:

jeff b: If you tell me what beers you want added, I’ll pass them along.

Jeff: I’ve asked Henry Copeland to add JD.

  4. jeff b says:

Boont, Anchor, Sierra Nevada, Pacifico. I think those are all available nationwide, right? Who knows. I was just kidding about the survey though. Can’t expect them to list every beer on the planet.

  5. James Joyner says:

I think they’re mainly West Coast beers, although I’ve seen Sierra Nevada just about everywhere.
