I finally downloaded and installed Jay ALlen’s MT-Blacklist, version 1.5 of which just came out of Beta testing. It is for Movable Type users who wish to block comment and/or TrackBack spam.

The install is much easier than other plug-ins I’ve fooled which, which is a good thing for those of us not particularly technical. The only thing it took me a few minutes to figure out is that “755” means to check Read, Write, Execute for owners and Read and Execute for all others. (Neither WSFTP_LE nor WSFTP_Pro use the numerics.)
