RECALL UPDATE

WaPo reports that the leaders of the Gray Davis recall movement are so confident they have enough signatures to put it on the ballot that they are halting their collection efforts. Wow. I disapprove of this use of the recall system but am impressed with the speed at which it has unfolded.

  1. Kevin Drum says:

Yeah, ol’ Gray is really not very popular around here these days….

  2. Jimbo says:

Gray Davis would otherwise be impeached and then carried into the street naked on his way to be hung from the nearest light post in Sacramento, if the Democratic party did not have a strangle-hold on the California Legislature.

A voter recall in in out constitution and we are using it with a vengeance on this slimy reptile that masquerades as human.

  3. Professor Kaos says:

I have mixed feelings about the recall process, but Gray Davis got himself into this mess, so he deserves whatever happens to him.
