I envision a meme with the Capitol in the background, and Adam Savage in the foreground. the caption is “It’s a horror show!”

    Survivor: House of Representatives

I really do understand why we need MORE representation, but can you imagine if there were another 300-400 personalities to deal with?

No party likes to be obstructed by the debt ceiling hostage theater when they’re in power but neither do they want it gone when they’re not. And yet eliminating the stupid thing should have strong bipartisan support.

    *sigh*

@Jax: Let me introduce you to the wonder that is the Pennsylvania State legislature

@CSK: Yeah, because FG was right there at Newt’s side fomenting the first government shutdown during Clinton’s administration. Yep. I remember it like it was yesterday. Trump, as has been his business plan all along, only bought an existing property (in this case, political policy) and started “improving” it.

You know, looking at these pictures, it’s clear that Matt Gaetz is a stone-cold authoritarian. He enjoys the exercise of power for its own sake. He forced another vote because he could, and because he enjoyed making other people suffer. This is straight up abusive behavior. In most venues, it wouldn’t be tolerated.

It’s so anti-democratic I can hardly stand it.
