Sandy Berger Advising Clinton Campaign

Rob Port, responding to news that Sandy Berger is part of Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy advisory triumvariate, wonders if this “isn’t the first campaign ever to feature the services of a national security adviser who, by order of a criminal court ruling, has no access to national security documents.”
One would think.
Then again, maybe we’ve reached the point where such things don’t matter. Clinton’s husband left office with remarkably high public approval despite impeachment and conduct which led to him being stripped of his license to practice law. Meanwhile, the current administration continues to run war policy despite a string of scandals and near-record low approval ratings. Perhaps fealty to the law is no longer high on the list of public expectations for executive office.

I think there is a daily report joke in here somewhere. "Do you have any proof of your claim that Bush is serving roasted Iraqi children at state dinners Ms. Clinton?" "Yeah, in my pants."
Exactly what string of scandals? And how do these alleged scandals relate to war policy?
Or perhaps the public sees a material distinction between lying about extra-marital sex and lying about reasons for going to war.
The reasons for going to war were outlined in the 1998 Iraqi Freedom Act, passed by Congress and signed by William Jefferson Clinton hisself, in ink, in front of witnesses, on the record. Those were the exact same reasons Bush used. Period. If Clinton's only faux pas was with Monica it would be insignificant, however there is the matter of the Chinese somehow gaining access to technology allowing them to miniaturize thermo-nuclear warheads and greatly improve the accuracy of their delivery systems. I wonder what promises were made by the PRC to Clinton. Was it support in the form of campaign cash? What did Berger steal? The Clinton administration was a criminal enterprise. Bush is simply batting cleanup.

This is par for the course for Hillzilla. The only reason she is running for president is to commute her own liability for the murder of Vince Foster.
