Allen West: Concussion Truther

Allen West will only be a member of Congress for another two weeks or so, but he’s clearly going to remain a raving lunatic:

Rep. Allen West said Thursday that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton seems to have a “case of Benghazi flu” on the day she was slated to testify before Congress regarding the deadly Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. consulate in Libya.

“I’m not a doctor, but it seems as though…the Secretary of State has come down with a case of Benghazi flu,” West (R-Fla.), who was defeated in his reelection bid last month, said on Fox News’s “Fox and Friends.” “I think we have to get to the bottom of this. There’s still a very countless amount of unanswered questions.”

Congressman, you should have stopped with “I’m not a doctor.”

For the record, Clinton’s testimony has been postponed, not canceled. Congress will be in session after Christmas and, assuming she’s recovered, she may well testify then. If not, I am certain we will see her testify at some point prior to her departure. Of course, facts don’t matter to people like West.
