Iraq Study Group Quote of the Day

The truth is a lot of reports in Washington aren’t read by anybody. To show you how important this report is, I read it. — President Bush, on the ISG report, at this a.m.’s presser.

I presume he was being intentionally self-deprecating, by the way.

I finally heard the sound bite on the way home from work today. Sadly, he wasn’t making a joke – he sounded for all the world like he honestly expected some sort of praise for _reading_, his own self, this report.

Jesus, but that man is a petulant, spoiled, _stupid_ child. What have we done to ourselves.
