    Remind me what planet does this guy live on?

    The last sane Republican.

    Sorry, Jeb–too late. You’ve been pandering to the Jesus-rode-on-dinosaurs crowd for too long.

    Yes, we agree on something. Unfortunately, the GOP ain’t the one…

  5. gVOR08 says:

    Oh good. Sound like Jeb’s decided not to run in the ’16 GOP primaries. The thought of a third Bush was worrying me. How about, “Third Times the Charm” as a slogan. However, I see no mention of Jeb actually acknowledging an old earth. Just the platitude about science and technology.

    Jeb gets it.

  7. Rafer Janders says:

    “We’ve got to be a pro-science and pro-technology party.”

    Why? Don’t we already have one of those? Do we really need two of them? Give the voters a real choice, I say.

    @gVOR08:

    Jeb Bush, Jr. is the son of Jeb Bush. IOW, not ex-governor of Florida, but the youngest son of the Jeb you’re thinking of.

  9. stonetools says:

    But-But, according to Doug, polititicans HAVE to pander to their base!

    That said, I agree that Jeb has probably decided to pass up on a 2016 run.

  10. gVOR08 says:

    @de stijl: Thanks. Missed the Jr. (Didn’t know there was a Jeb Jr.)

  11. @gVOR08:

    Didn’t know there was a Jeb Jr.

    Just as a rule of thumb, I tend to be somewhat suspicious of people who give their kids the their name.
