Most Unfortunate Name For A Politician Ever

Apparently, Kentucky’s Attorney General Race this year will be between incumbent Jack Conway, who you may remember from the race against Rand Paul last year, and Republican Todd P’Pool.

In case you’re wondering, that’s pronounced “pee pool.”

    For several years, half of New Hampshire was represented in Congress by one Richard W. Swett.

    Or, as he preferred to be known as, “Dick Swett.”

    We also had a Ms. Dudley Dudley who was fairly prominent in the 1970’s.

    Those two were Democrats. On the Republican side, we had John Hoar and Fergus Cullen.

    I gotta give it to the Democrats on this one…

    According to this genealogy source, the Pettypools became P’Pools in Virginia, in the 1800s.
