THANK GOODNESS FOR MISSISSIPPI

Jackson’s WAPT reports

Republican candidate for governor Haley Barbour says he will not apologize for a remark he made last week about Head Start children.

Last week, Barbour said some Head Start children would be better off “sitting up on a piano bench at a whorehouse” than in their own homes.

While this is undeniably a true statement–“some” of almost any group of kids you could name would be–it is a statement of political stupidity of near-Lottian proportions.

But rather funny all the same.
