Understatement Of The Day: Joe Biden Edition

From the pool reporters following Joe Biden around today:

Vice President Joe Biden, during an event in Las Vegas with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., admitted to voters that he has “a bad habit” of speaking his mind in public.

“I do have a bad habit of saying what I think,” Biden said, according to the pool report.

Yes Joe, we’ve noticed.

That’s the trade-off when you get someone who’s not a slick politician–you get someone who says stuff that comes out the wrong way because he’s not calibrating it for an audience as part of his nature.

  2. Jenos Idanian #13 says:

Let’s finish that Joe Biden thought:

“I do have a bad habit of saying what I think is real, and not what is real.”

  3. Jr says:

@Geek, Esq.: And that is why I love Joe Biden.

  4. gVOR08 says:

Joe Biden is widely regarded, especially on the right, as a light weight crazy uncle and gaffe factory. On the right they regard Paul Ryan as a smart as a whip young gun policy wonk. Think anybody on the right reconsidered those opinions after old Joe Biden owned Ryan in the debate?

  5. Tillman says:

Biden’s a good example of what a blue-collar politician would resemble. Terrifically off-the-cuff but well-meaning.

I give Biden slack because our last vice president wasn’t precisely a paragon of civic virtue or rational thought himself.

  6. OzarkHillbilly says:

“I do have a bad habit of saying what I think,” Biden said,

God forbid our politicians be honest.

  7. john personna says:

The right ended up inoculating Biden from criticism. They were so over the top in the first term, saying Biden gaffes would presage the apocalypse … that anytime he speaks and the skies do not rain blood, he looks fine.

  8. C. Clavin says:

You guys…James and Doug…are such Republican butt-boys….why no post on Trumps campaign changing revelation???

  9. Perhaps you missed this.

  10. C. Clavin says:

    I did miss that.
    Good butt boys.

  11. G.A. says:

    You guys…James and Doug…are such Republican butt-boys

    ….lol….

    C. Clavin, If they are what you say, you think they might write something about the biggest(and dumbest) cover up in American history instead of about how the Republicans are stupid once in a while?
