NFL 2006 Season Blogger Predictions

Yesterday, I compiled the predictions of the so-called “experts,” those who make a living following the NFL. Today, just in time for the season opener (Steelers vs. Dolphins at 8:30 Eastern on NBC), the predictions of some of your favorite bloggers.
Several bloggers were asked to chose the eight division champions, four wildcards, the Super Bowl representatives and winner as well as the winners of the major end-of-season individual awards.

Their O-line is pretty solid barring major injuries. Indeed, they were decent last year until Flozell Adams went down.
No team in the salary cap/free agency era is without its flaws. But Dallas is solid at QB, terrific at RB, WR, and TE, and may have a truly special defense, with playmakers at all the key spots. Assuming Vanderjagt is healthy, they should be among the best on special teams, too.
I'm sitting here tonight painfully watching Hines Ward - I could have started him on my fantasy team.
Gee, can't really tell which two of you are cowboys fans.
The microsoft auto-correct red lines under "Bengals" and "Bucs" are a nice touch.

Let me have some of that stuff you are smoking. There is no way that the Cowboys, with or without Tuna, are winning the division. I would be willing to make a wager with you that it is going to be the Giants with a 10-6 record that wins the NFC East.

Way too many variables, mostly injuries.
The Giants are pretty solid. They've got a lot of upside at QB, a stud runner over 30--usually not a good sign but Tiki's shown no signs of aging, and a decent defense. They're rather weak in the DB department, though. And they have perhaps the toughest schedule in the league this year, at least based on last season's records.
The Eagles have the best QB in the division and a good O-line. The receivers are suspect, though, and the RB corps is thin. Also a very solid D.
The Redskins have an explosive D and a lot of talent on offense. Then again, they're imputting a new offensive system this year and are suspect at QB.
That leaves the Cowboys. Also a pretty tough schedule, with 6 of the first 9 on the road. Still, they have the potential to be something special on D and have a lot of talent on offense. They're probably the deepest team in the league at RB, WR, and TE. Bledsoe is not what he used to be but he threw for well over 3000 yards last year without T.O. and with a banged up line. They should be better this year.
I am saddened by the lack of love for my panthers!
Hey, you got three people picking you for the division title and one having you go all the way to the Super Bowl. That's not too bad!
