Stupid Campaign Tricks

If you’ve spent any amount of time working on a political campaign, you’ll know that much of on-the-ground campaigning can often involve juvenile idiocy. It can range from playing rather dump games with roadside campaign signs to organized heckling during stump speeches. Today in Cleveland, the Romney campaign showed us another version of the game:

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Republican nominee Mitt Romney’s guerrilla tactics continued Thursday, as the campaign bus circled the venue where President Barack Obama will be speaking this afternoon.

As it passed the assembled throngs of supporters awaiting entry to the event at Cuyahoga Community College, the bus honked its horn dozens of times, before circling around to do it again. Obama supporters jeered and booed each time the bus passed the line outside of the security screening area.

Yea, that’s gonna convince people to vote for your candidate, guys.

If he was smart he would have got out of the bus and pressed the flesh.

  4. @Andy:

Pretty sure it was just one of the campaign’s buses. Romney had a speech scheduled 4 hours south in Cincinnati.

Probably driven by that asshat who yells “Get in the hole!” at golf tournaments.
