Green Party POTUS Candidate Jill Stein Flies To Wrong City
Green Party Presidential nominee Jill Stein had an embarrassing logistical error today:
Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was scheduled to speak at Capital University in Bexley at noon today but it looks like she’s running a little late.
That’s because instead of flying into Columbus, she accidentally went to Cincinnati instead, according to the Capital University Greens Student Organization who is sponsoring the event.
Yes. You read that correctly.
About 100 people are waiting at Schaaf Lawn on campus. It’s unclear if they will all hang around while Stein drives up from Cincinnati, but pizzas are being ordered to thank people for their patience.
It’s also unclear how and why she flew into the wrong airport.
“They just got on the road and will be two hours late. Things happen,” said Aaron Suarez, who is president of Capital University Greens Student Organization and sophomore political science major from Marion.
Yes, and they happen even more frequently when you fail to look at a map.

I have some sympathy. Ohio is a mess for air travel. I’ve had to fly there a couple times out of the Bay Area and it’s always a hassle, with few direct flights and fewer still that I would take. And really, Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland are three ugly cities with lousy weather and C names, how can you avoid confusing them?
Maybe it was overcast in Ohio and her solar powered airplane
(Green Bean 1) had to land.
Hope her electric car has at least a 100 mile range to make the trip.
(Why isn’t she riding a bicycle?)
And the citizens of Bexley breathed a sigh of relief that they were spared of this crackpot for a few more hours.
Not that you haven’t earned it, but you are spoiled.
Compared to the Pacific Coast of the Golden State, the rest of continental USA has lousy weather.
If we are lucky Trump’s plane might land at Pyongyang Sunan International Airport by mistake.
And if he has his future Secretary of Religion, Mike Huckabee, on board, the North Koreans might let them stay for awhile.

Did she think she was supposed to go to Cincinnati? Or did she get on the wrong plane but with a ticket for Columbus?
It’s not like there’s a possible language difficulty, either….(Geneva == Genova vs. Genua)
Silly rabbit.
Now Jill Stein Thinks Wi-Fi Might Be Hurting Kids
That’s what happens when you view it as flyover country…
Better than invading the wrong country…
@Mister Bluster:
I am absurdly spoiled. It’s not southern California weather – we do get chilly fog at inopportune moments – but yeah, everyone else’s weather sucks by comparison. Often I can sit out on my deck and work well into ‘winter.’ I blame early imprinting. I was born in LA and lived my first six years there. Since then I have bitched about the weather in virtually every state plus various foreign lands.
About 35 years ago the University of Miami was scheduled to play East Carolina in Greenville North Carolina. The Miami announcers flew to Greenville. South Carolina.
@michael reynolds: I have the exact opposite imprinting. After too many days of blue skies I start wanting to duck under tables.
(Speaking of good weather, it’s absolutely gorgeous here in Chicago)
Get back to us in January.
I was attending Bloom Jr. College in Chicago Heights in Winter 1967. I was able to get around some in the 1956 Plymouth Tank with chains my aunt had given me till the car in front of me and the car behind me got stuck on Kedzie Avenue. Had to walk a couple of miles to get to my parents home where I was living at the time.
In 1968 I moved 300 miles south.

About 15 years ago relatives were traveling in Europe, and a serious medical situation required my relative to be flown home from a hospital in Toulon, France (on the Mediterranean.) A a small jet plane was dispatched by our medical insurance plan from America to Toulon – long story short, the plane landed in Toulouse … oops.
