Republican Factions End Feud
The moderate Republican Main Street Partnership and conservative Club for Growth have reached a truce, reports The Politico’s Josh Kraushaar, having decided that “”It’s in the enlightened self-interest of both groups to learn how to constructively work together instead of being at odds and shouting obscenities at each other.”
If the Republicans are to regain power, they’ll need more such truces among their factions.
Nothing like having your big tent collapse around your ears to make people appreciate the value of the big tent and be willing to work on sewing it back together.
The democrats face the other side of the coin now when they try to take the congressional mandate and actually do something. All the disparate people who they got into their tent for the elections are arguing on exactly what is the right thing to do.
