Last week’s OTB Caption ContestTM has now ended. Some very good entries.

The winners:

Yahoo! News – AFP Top Photos

1st, Mark Hasty: Having misunderstood what the bartender said, Frank anxiously anticipated how this good piece of ice would solve all his problems.

2nd, Terry Oglesby: Proof that there is something colder than a well-digger’s ass.

3rd, Kate: “Yup, Ralphie, there’s 5″ of ice. We can drive the truck to the shack.”

Thanks to all the participants. Watch for another contest coming soon to a blog near you.

Doh, I got sidetracked by a phone call then had to look up inhospitable at http://www.dictionary.com. When I refreshed OTB I found I’d entered one a few minutes too late. Oh well, I just have to recycle it for later. It’s not like it could compete with any of the winners.
