Introducing Politinerds

Politinerds

I’m happy to announce that going forward, I’ll be co-hosting a podcast at Vigilant Liberty Radio called Politinerds with friend and fellow blogger Jazz Shaw of Hot Air. While we’ll likely hit on current events quite a lot in the weeks and months going forward, as Jazz notes, we’re aiming for something just a little different here:

Our goal is to do something different than the same old parade of people answering the same questions about whatever happened that week. We’ve been working on some deep dive material to learn a bit more about the people behind the stories. We’ll have some interesting figures from the Hill and from the media as well.

If all goes as planned, we’ll be going live for at least a couple weeks prior to Christmas, but that may depend on the ability schedule guests in the closing weeks of the year. To start out, we decided to do a test show in an effort to work out the concept a bit and to do a run through with our producer. For that show, we interviewed political blogger and author Amelia Hamilton, who was kind enough to be the guinea pig guest, and who tells us how she got into writing about politics and, eventually a series of children’s books focused on American history and patriotic themes. Going forward, we hope to have more than a few politicians as well as media figures you’ve probably heard of, and probably a few you haven’t.

In any case, here’s the first episode, and I’ll be posting others going forward.

  1. James Pearce says:

Cool, man. I’ll be definitely giving that a listen.

(Do you have a download feature?)

  2. Nikki says:

Of course, it’s all views from the right, so really nothing new.

  3. Charles Wagner says:

It’s very interesting hearing your voice and Shaw’s. I can only think of how someone felt when they received one of those newfangled phone calls from one with whom he had only exchanged letters.
