ANOTHER PIC

From YahooNews:

Army Spc. John Dresel from Oxford, Conn. is kissed by an Iraqi child in Baghdad Wednesday, April 9, 2003. The soldiers from the A Company 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment took over a section of northern Baghdad with a warm welcome from many residents, but under sporadic rocket and small arms fire.

ANOTHER PIC

ANOTHER PIC: This just strikes me as surreal for some reason:

Residents of the southern Iraq city of Basra leave home in search of food and water past a British Army soldier guarding the Euphrates River bridge March 27, 2003. Thousands of tired and thirsty Iraqi civilians trudged out of Basra, seeking water and shelter from air raids, as British forces shot up more Iraqi tanks leaving the city.
